I am a visual artist currently based in Ireland. In 2021 I graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, receiving a first-class honour for my work in Fine Art Paint and Education. I make paintings, take photographs and collect artifacts that examine contemporary narratives of rural structures, quiet spaces and ordinary objects. I am interested particularly in familiarity, functional objects and representing their form with paint. My practice is process based - I study and make many painted recordings of the joints, edges, hinges, creases, marks, holes, pins and shadows of objects. Some of these recordings then naturally present themselves as critical pieces of work. - pollymaher
